TietoEVRY co-created the future ways of working for the company
With help of the Fountain Park platform, we were able to engage our entire organization and truly co-create the future ways of working for the company.
What are the future ways of working? When the coronavirus pandemic hit, the freshly merged TietoEVRY shifted quickly and successfully to virtual work across the more than 20 countries the company operates in. After the initial phase of remote work, TietoEVRY leadership quickly shifted their thinking proactively about what is the next phase, and how the entire organization’s way of working should and could evolve after the acute crisis is over.
Involving the entire organization
A cross-functional task force was formed to think and prepare for the future ways of working. The group recognized that it would be futile to proceed very far without involving the entire organization and understanding their experiences, concerns and wishes during the pandemic as well as for the future.
The problem was how to collect and analyse all this efficiently, at scale, and without sacrificing the depth and understanding that qualitative material and a true dialogue always have?
This challenge was a great fit with Fountain Park’s long experience in cocreation processes.
Agile collaboration with Fountain Park
In agile collaboration with the TietoEVRY task force, Fountain Park experts designed a platform using their Strategy Dialogue toolkit where TietoEVRY employees could share their experiences and views and contribute to designing the future ways of working.
Over 11,000 took the opportunity, contributing their views in over 43,000 open answers.
Capturing views and priorities of the future working life
For Fountain Park, this kind of volume is not unprecedented, so they were able to analyze and form a coherent map of organization’s viewpoints in couple of weeks. These findings formed a solid basis for subsequent virtual workshops, and for the ongoing change process of TietoEVRY’s new hybrid ways of working.
“With help of the Fountain Park platform, we were able to engage our entire organization and truly co-create the future ways of working for the company. The process was smooth, and it helped to capture the views and priorities of the colleagues and communicate those clearly to our leadership. The co-creation catered for the various aspects of the future working life eg. role of offices, digital collaboration tools, support needed for remote working as well as cultural considerations, bringing good insights for the teams who continue developing these aspects within the company”, comments Kia Haring, Head of Communications and Sustainability at TietoEVRY.
